"Well this sounds pretty cool" I hear you say to yourself.

It is cool. And I know you want to be cool too, so here is how you do it.

Take your favorite IRC client:
Linux-
irssi
BitchX
Xchat
Gaim (now Pidgin)

Windows-
irssi
mIRC

Web-
#orlug via Web

Now, you need to connect to the server. For server information use:
irc.freenode.net:6667 (I.E. a server name of irc.freenode.net and the default IRC port of 6667)

Once connected and with the /nick of your choice, join the channel #orlug. If you haven't used IRC before try the command: /join #orlug

Then talk as normal. You can bet that usually the first 4 guys in the Who section will be in there. Bring to us your funny Linux problem, or your humorus links. We will take them all.
